Proverbs 25:21-22 It is wise to give to an enemy in need

It is not easy to reach out and help someone who has hurt you or shown that they dislike you.  But, when they are in need it is wise and compassionate to give to their need.  It may cause them to regret what they did to you and serve as a catalyst for their growth.  Regardless of their reaction, God will ensure that you are rewarded.

Proverbs 20:3 It is honorable to end quarrels

Social media has provided a new way for people to display their good character, or expose their lack of it.  People can post things that they might not say face to face.  A wise person recognizes the difference between a discussion and a fight and will honorably defuse the "altercation" or quickly bow out.  The foolish will continue to fight.

Proverbs 19:5 Liers will not escape punishment

Lying is an attempt to protect, enrich or injure someone (that someone might be ourselves). Even if we think the lie accomplishes our goal, there is an unseen consequence that we set into motion. If we understood how dangerous lying was (to us), we would work harder to only speak the truth!A

Proverbs 17:20 A wise man controls what he says

what you say reveals who you are. When you cannot say anything good about a person, your deceitfulness is exposed. When your mouth is filled with foul language, you make it easy for the evil one to enslave you. Your tongue will write the story of your life. Wise people recognize how important it is to CONTROL what they say!

Proverbs 16:8 Don't allow your desire for money deceive you

I want and need money. But, there are limits to what I will do to get it. If I pursue money to the extent that I rob my family of time they need with me or I have to injure someone else to get it, I have allowed myself to be deceived! All that money can NEVER buy back what I will lose. My blindness will cause others to suffer and I will have to pay for my ignorance! It's too bad that many of our country's leaders don't know this.

Proverbs 12:27 Work hard and you can roast what you hunt!

We never know what we can achieve until we push ourselves to the point where it hurts. It is easy to say "I can't" or "it's too hard". I have discovered hidden abilities, answers to problems and great reward, after burning the midnight oil! We must teach our kids the value of hard work; then they can roast what they hunt.A

Proverns 10:12 God's love delivers a body blow ro hatred

I have never seen such open and vocal vitriol as I see today in America. Hatred is a powerful, self-destructive force. It generally produces fighting and infects those who are stirred up by it. Love is an even more powerful force. Love disarms and confounds hatred! Love delivers a body blow that renders hatred helpless. The power to love when confronted with hate only comes from God. This is why so many people are being infected. https://www.biblegateway.com/verse/en/Proverbs%2010:12A
