Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding,
4 If you seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
5 Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,
And find the knowledge of God. -Proverbs 2:3-5
One of my favorite lines from The Chosen TV Series (angelstudios.com) is when Jesus turns to a puzzled Matthew and says, "I don't want passive followers". God does not respond to passivity! God has given us exceedingly great and precious promises, but we must passionately pursue Him to benefit from them. So, what is it that you want from life? Prosperity, peace, joy, purpose, fulfillment? Though these may seem far away, you CAN have them and more, IF you want them badly enough to cry out to God for wisdom and understanding! Open His word, read it, ask Him to help you to understand what you read. His promise is, "if you seek me, you WILL find me!"
