Word of Wisdom

Proverbs 3:13-14 If You Acquire Wisdom, You Acquire Riches

Larry Shepard 0 126 Article rating: No rating

DAILY WORD OF WISDOM.  The most under-valued commodity today is wisdom.  If people REALLY understood its value, they would expend great energy to acquire it!  Peace, happiness, and a purposeful life are greatly desired, but most people search in the wrong places to find them.  These valued possessions are hidden in wisdom and the good news is that God has promised to HELP you acquire it.  The key to unlocking this treasure is to recognize your lack of wisdom (be not wise in your own eyes) and then choose to come to Him.

Leviticus 18:6-8 Stay pure in the midst offsexual immorality

"None of you shall approach anyone who is near of kin to him, to uncover his nakedness: I am the Lord. 7 The nakedness of your father or the nakedness of your mother you shall not uncover. She is your mother; you shall not uncover her nakedness. 8 The nakedness of your father’s wife you shall not uncover; it is your father’s nakedness.

Lev 18:0  Today's Word of Wisdom is a bit different, so bear with me. We live in a day when wicked people are trying to "normalize" pedophilia.  In Leviticus 18, God labels various sexual acts, especially incest,  as wickedness and prohibits them.  It is interesting to note that these laws were given as Israel was about to enter the land of Canaan, which was filled with these wicked sexual practices and with child sacrifice. We are called today, to exemplify a higher standard of living which is achievable through Christ!  The attached video unveils when these practices started and why the Canaanites were cursed.

NOTE: The term "Uncover your ____'s nakedness" refers to a sexual act or an act which strips a person of dignity or authority

Proverbs 1:22-23 The naive person can become wise

Larry Shepard 0 182 Article rating: No rating

A naive person is someone who lacks wisdom or judgment. This is the meaning of the word "simple" in this passage. What makes "simplicity" so tragic, is the fact that wisdom cries out attempting to gain the attention of the "simple". This proverb highlights God's love for us through His "activity" to gain the attention of naive people. The simple become wise when they listen, turn and receive the Spirit of God!

Proverbs 30:5 God has designed His word to benefit us

Larry Shepard 0 222 Article rating: 5.0

Life is filled with challenges. We fail many times because of powerful forces working against us that are unseen. God's word has been "refined as silver"( or purified) to help us meet life's challenges. Think about that for a second. Every word has been DESIGNED to meet OUR needs! When we trust His word we are protected. Before we can trust it, we have to spend time with it.

Proverbs 28:2 - Immorality in a nation threatens ius existance and invites corrupt leadership

Administrator 0 107 Article rating: 5.0

When America decided to take prayer out of schools, it started a process of decay that has led to corruption throughout our government. This is exactly what this verse predicts! The only way back is wise leadership that will root out corruption and reestablish law and order. We MUST pray FOR our leaders, and that corruption is exposed and dealt with justly. What an amazing Proverb this is!
